Cancellation Policy

How to cancel an Intratec subscription and what happens to data access after cancellation.

General

Is there a cancellation penalty or lock-in?

There is no cancellation penalty and no lock-in period. All Intratec subscriptions are billed annually, but you can cancel at any time through your account portal without incurring any early-termination fee. Cancellation simply stops the automatic renewal — your access continues until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.

What happens to my data access if I cancel?

When you cancel a subscription, all users on that subscription keep full access to the data until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation stops the automatic renewal — it does not immediately cut off access. Once the billing period ends, access is removed and all users must stop using the Licensed Materials.

Cancellation Process

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscription cancellation is self-service and takes only a few steps in your account portal:

  1. Log in at www.intratec.us with your email and password (top menu).
  2. Click on "Account" (top menu), then on "Subscriptions Billing".
  3. Locate the subscription you want to cancel and click on "Billing Info".
  4. Click the "Cancel" link under "Recurring Status".

Once completed, you will receive an email confirming that recurring billing has been interrupted. All subscription users will continue to have access until the end of the current billing period.

Who is allowed to cancel a subscription?

Only the subscription owner can cancel a subscription. Other users on the account — including admins — do not have permission to cancel. If the subscription owner has changed, the current owner is the only one authorized to perform cancellation.

Can Intratec cancel my subscription for me?

No. The Intratec team is not able to cancel subscriptions on behalf of subscribers. Cancellation must be performed by the subscription owner through the account portal, following the self-service steps available under "Subscriptions Billing". If you are having trouble accessing your account to cancel, contact our support team for assistance with the login.

After Cancellation

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Refunds are not provided when you cancel a subscription. This policy applies regardless of how much time remains in the billing period.

There is one narrow exception: if your subscription renews automatically and you did not intend to renew, you may request a refund of the renewal fee within 21 days from the date the renewal charge was processed. If approved, the refund equals the amount paid less an 8% processing fee, credited back to the original payment account.

To request a refund, contact Intratec by email with the subject line "Refund Request". Requests are evaluated within 5 business days; approved refunds are credited within 10 business days.

What if I want a lower plan after cancelling?

Downgrading to a lower plan is not available as a direct in-app action — it requires cancelling your current subscription and re-subscribing at the plan you want.

The process is:

  1. Cancel your current subscription. Recurring billing stops, but you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
  2. Wait until the current billing period ends.
  3. Purchase a new subscription and select the lower plan during checkout.

What happens if I don't cancel before renewal?

If you do not cancel before your renewal date, your subscription renews automatically for another annual term and the corresponding fee is charged.

This applies to subscriptions paid by credit card or PayPal, which include auto-renewal by default. Subscriptions purchased by wire transfer do not auto-renew — they expire at the end of the term and must be re-purchased manually to continue.

If an auto-renewal charge was unexpected, you can request a refund within 21 days of the renewal date (see the refund policy for conditions). To prevent future auto-renewals, cancel the subscription through your account portal before the next renewal date.
