Update Schedule
How often are the reports updated?
Industry Economics & Competitiveness reports are published on a monthly basis. A new edition for each subscribed country is released at the beginning of every month, replacing the previous edition in the platform.
Every analytical factor in the report produces meaningful month-to-month variation — the monthly cadence is built into the product design, not just the delivery schedule. Scores, ranks, and change indicators are recalculated with fresh data every month, so each edition reflects the latest available picture of a country's competitive position.
When in the month are new reports published?
The exact release day depends on your subscription plan:
Business days exclude weekends and public holidays, so the calendar date varies month to month. The full monthly release calendar is published in the Intratec Data Update Schedule.
Do higher-tier plans get reports earlier?
Yes — higher-tier plans receive new reports earlier in the month. Advanced and Ultimate subscribers access reports on the 3rd business day, Pro on the 5th, and Starter on the 8th.
This earlier access can matter for teams that use the data in time-sensitive workflows — project budget reviews, monthly competitiveness briefings, or sourcing decisions tied to a reporting cycle. If getting the latest data a few days sooner makes a practical difference for your team, it's worth factoring into your plan choice.
Why doesn't the report show last month's data?
It depends on which part of the report you're looking at. Pillar scores and rankings reflect data from approximately four months before the publication date — a report published in early August presents pillar scores based on data through March. This gap exists because the analysis compares 33 countries on equal terms, and not all countries release their official economic, trade, and industrial statistics at the same speed. The four-month window ensures every country is evaluated using final, confirmed figures rather than preliminary estimates.
Tools data (Plant Construction Cost Index, Plant Location Factors, Labor Costs & Productivity, Utilities Costs) has no such gap — tools reflect the most recent available period. A report published in August includes tool data consolidated through July.
The trade-off on pillar scores is deliberate: you get a slightly older snapshot, but one where every country is on the same footing. This is what makes the cross-country comparison reliable. The tools, which serve a different purpose, deliver the freshest data available.
How will I know when a new report is available?
Each plan has a predictable release day each month — the 3rd business day for Advanced and Ultimate, the 5th for Pro, and the 8th for Starter. You can plan ahead using the Intratec Data Update Schedule, which lists the specific publication dates for each month.
Once a new report is published, it replaces the previous edition in My Products and is immediately available for viewing or download (depending on your plan).
